Investing
The investing team is the crown jewel of the BYCIG. Our investment team members meet every week to learn about investing, finance, business, and other corollary concepts. In each cluster meeting they discuss ideas, ask questions, and hear from experts. They also have a chance to learn from guest speakers and other experts in the industry. The hallmark of this team is the monthly investment proposal to the Investment Advisory Committee. If done well, these pitches influence where the BYCIG invests its charitable fund capital.
Executive Leadership
At BYCIG, we operate like a true corporation, aiming to place all members in leadership roles. These opportunities span various areas, including education, operations, sector-specific research, and marketing.
Please note: Current members have an advantage when applying for executive leadership roles. If you’re new to business and finance, we suggest starting as an investment analyst, though you are welcome to apply for any role. Web development
The web development team, led by CTO Linus Raphaely, focuses on ensuring that the website is clear, informative, and highly functional for donors, members, and anyone curious about the organization. The team is undergoing a Summer 2025 project overhaul the website, developing a complete member portal that includes a full investment proposal system and learning platform–among other features–while improving the existing site.
Projects like these are what the web development team works on: many of our web development team hope to work in technology in the future, and at the BYCIG, they get a chance to get hands-on-experience with real projects.
