What is the BYCIG?

The Brooklyn Youth Charitable Investment Group (BYCIG) is a selective incubator for gifted, underserved high schoolers, built to develop them into serious financial and analytical talent well before college. Through a rigorous, 360-degree development program covering technical skills, professional judgment, and leadership, BYCIG prepares students to lead, invest, and innovate.

What does the BYCIG do?

In short, we raise money, invest it, and donate it to charity.
Our foundation rests on three core principles, consistently maintained.

Education

Our analyst development program teaches skills across finance and economics, built on Charlie Munger's "worldly wisdom" model of cross-disciplinary thinking.

Investing

Analysts research companies, build financial models, and pitch investment theses to earn their place managing our student-run fund.

Innovation

Juniors and seniors take on C-suite leadership roles within the organization and are encouraged to develop startup ideas, which BYCIG incubates and brings in front of VCs.
